Welcoming and introducing children to important elements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture

Respect is a message from the heart for young and old. Beautifully illustrated, this storybook shares the key principle of respect, as a way of life and story, connected to Country. Respect transcends culture and teaches children, and adults, the importance of ‘family who show the way’. Ancient teachings of how to listen, learn and share, this story educates and celebrates what Respect looks like for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This book is the first of four titles in the ‘Our Place’ series welcoming and introducing children to important elements of character through Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander storytelling.
