CharacterPlus has been partnering with schools on character education for over 30 years. Established by one of America’s leading advocates for character education, Sanford (Sandy) McDonnell, CharacterPlus is committed to programs, workshops, training and resources to help schools ‘enrich the whole child’. Their aim is to support and recognise schools creating ‘caring, high­-achieving environments where young people are inspired to become engaged, upstanding citizens who want to make a positive impact in the world.’

With a regular podcast and a variety of online courses, CharacterPlus is accessible globally. Their Teacher Academy in Character Education is a year-long course for teachers, designed to equip them with best practice and evidence-based methods to ‘foster thriving classrooms and school communities’.

CharacterPlus works with education leaders and teachers to develop and implement a school framework to foster character education for a positive and healthy school environment, with tangible results which include: enhanced learning and results, reduction in disciplinary incidents, and an increase in student and staff wellbeing.
