Harvard Human Flourishing Program
Promoting human flourishing
The Harvard Human Flourishing Program is a research initiative of Harvard's Institute for Quantitative Social Science.
Its mission is to study and promote the well-being of individuals and communities by exploring what it means to live a fulfilling and meaningful life. The program takes a multidisciplinary approach, integrating insights from psychology, philosophy, public health, and theology. It focuses on five key domains of flourishing: happiness and life satisfaction, physical and mental health, meaning and purpose, character and virtue, and close social relationships.
Through research, education, and public engagement, the program aims to inform policies and practices that help people thrive.
They have developed a flourishing app for people to engage in flourishing activities, they have a Human Flourishing Program’s Flourishing Network which meet regularly online, resources for schools and even a flourishing measurement approach.
